Social Responsibility

This Institution has been taking interest in the field of social responsibilities, with the aim of inculcating spirit of social values in the minds of students. The students and the staff raised funds by donating from their pocket money voluntarily for Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for Bihar flood (23 Sep. 2008), Ladakh flash flood (10 Aug. 2010), Uttarakhand flood (4 July 2013) , Jammu Kashmir flood (25 September 2014)and Kerala Flood(22 Aug 2018). Cleanliness drive was organized by the students for a number of villages around the institution, namely Matindu, Chhinauli, Sisana, Morkheri, Samchana, Bhainsru & Rohna etc. To highlight the importance of sports in students’ life and otherwise in society, a cycle rally was taken out by the students through neighboring villages before the Commonwealth Games in 2010. Medical camps have been organized, where thousands of villagers have been taken care of. The Institution accepts responsibilities willingly and interacts with neighboring educational institutes periodically.

Considering our social initiative activities, the eminent jury of ASSOCHAM(The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India), India has awarded the Gurukul Sr. Sec. School as the “Best Educational Initiative Serving Social cause Award”. The award was presented by the Hon’ble Union Minister of Human Resource Development (HRD) Dr. M.M. Pallam Raju on the ‘ASSOCHAM National Excellence Education Award’ function at New Delhi, on 09 Apr 2013.
