Centenary Celebration

On completion of 100 years of establishment, ‘SHATABDI SAMAROH’ was celebrated in Jan 2015. Chief guest for the function was Sh Bhupinder Singh Hooda, ex-CM, Haryana. The function was organized with old traditional values and modern fervour. Main feature were as under:-

a) Finalizing centenary Insignia.

b) Release of special cover by the Postal Department of India.

c) ’My Stamp’ by the Postal Department.

d) Release of ’Shatabdi Smarika’.

a) Release of annual school magazine ’Shikhar’.

b) Honoring Freedom Fighters  .

c) Smt. Vidya Dahiya w/o Alumni Martyr Comdt. Sahdev Dahiya of the Institution.

d) Release of annual calendar of the school.

e) Recalling ’Gurukul Matindu’s contribution to the vedic education and the freedoms struggle of the country by the speakers :-

• Dr. Ram Prakash, Member Rajya Sabha, Chairman Gurukul kamgri and ex – VC Kurukhestra University.
• Dr. K.C Yadav, Director Haryana Historical Department.
• Prof Surender Kumar, Head of Sanskrit Department and chairman of Swami Dayanand CHAIR, MDU, Rohtak
• Dr. Rajender Vidyalankar, Kurukhestra University.
• Sh. Bhupender Singh Hooda, Ex – CM Haryana.

Postal stamp of Post office Village Matindu is in the
name of Gurukul Matindu. It was a well known institute
on the pages of history since its establishment.
